With roots in the provision of aviation weather services ATS Technology Systems is proud to offer meteorological instrumentation to compliment safe flight operations as well as a range of aviation weather services and communications through our sister company ATS Services.

Sensors for aviation use include:

	SAAB AWOS-7 AWOS is the family name of a set of systems delivered by Saab Group. AWOS is the fourth generation of weather reporting systems that is developed by Saab Group and Combitech AB in Sweden. The system employs client-server architecture for automatic acquisition, processing and presentation of sensor data used to generate, edit and distribute meteorological reports intended for aviation. The system uses WIN XP in standard Pentium PC's. All data are measured and processed according to ICAO and WMO regulations. Data is presented and distributed to the users in alphanumerics as MET REPORT/SPECIAL, METAR/SPECI and SYNOP. Data is also presented as graphics in 2-dimensional graphs and in GIS-oriented pictures. Combinations of all these presentations can be tailored locally according to the needs of the ATS unit. The basic AWOS system can be a single or double server system with 1-99 active workstations connected. This system can also be connected to: AFTN / GTS ATIS and DATIS ATM-system Met View Web or Intranet CCTV or ITV
	Lightning Warning A complete sensor system connected to AWOS or stand-alone to give a warning to airports of approaching thunderstorms to reduce risks when refueling aircraft. A map image with the airport in the centre can be displayed in a separate window in the AWOS client system or in AWOS MetView client. Lightning strikes are presented in real time on the map together with the atmospheric electrical field strength at the airport.
	Air Traffic and Meteorological Software Solutions ATS Technology Systems supplies a full range of SAAB Air Traffic and Meteorological software solutions for use as stand-alone solutions or integrated with AWOS. Software solutions include Automatic Terminal Information Service (ATIS), Integrated Real –Time Information Service (IRIS), Quality and Operational Management Systems (QOMS) for airports, MetView and more.
	Anemometers ATS Technology Systems is pleased to offer both Ultrasonic sensors as well as mechanical wind speed and directions sensors designed to the requirements of National Weather Services and the World Meteorological Organization.
	Visibility and Present Weather Sensors Biral HSS Visibility and Present Weather Sensors provide the highest levels of accuracy available on the market. They were the first optical sensors to combine an infra-red light source with forward scattering technology to give the best performance possible and have been leading the way in optical visibility measurements for over 20 years.
	Low Level Wind Shear Monitoring Wind shear can occur at any altitude but is especially hazardous to aviation during take-off or landing. A Doppler-SODAR (Sonic Detection And Ranging) system is a ground based remote sensing system for the measurement of vertical profiles of the wind vector and turbulence in the lower parts of the atmosphere. A SODAR is excellent to monitor low level wind shear, including wing tip vortex studies, or the monitoring of other turbulent effects along the glide path or elsewhere on the airfield.
	Precipitation Sensors We are pleased to offer an array of products to determine the type and intensity of precipitation ranging from all weather precipitation gauges to laser precipitation sensors, as well as micro rain radar.
